Former City of Lone Tree Prosecuting Attorney Lisa B. Santos has joined Highlands Ranch Law Center P.C. as a Senior Associate Attorney., according to law firm Managing Attorney Robert B. Wareham.

“We are extremely pleased that Ms. Santos has chosen to continue her legal career in private practice with our firm,” Wareham said. Ms. Santos will practice criminal justice law, civil litigation, and further develop the firm’s estate planning practice area.

Since November of 2006 Ms. Santos has served as the Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Lone Tree under its contract with the law firm of White, Bear & Ankele Professional Corporation, which expired February 28, 2011. Known for her fairness and pleasant demeanor in that role, Ms. Santos has mixed feelings about leaving the city. “I have enjoyed my time in Lone Tree and working with the citizens of that community,” she said.

Prior to being a prosecutor in Lone Tree Ms. Santos was in private practice for six years handling litigation in criminal, civil and juvenile matters.

Ms. Santos is an 11 year resident of Highlands Ranch and a 1999 graduate of The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where she distinguished herself as an Executive Board Member of The John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law and authored a law review article, Computers and the Year 2000.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.

Ms. Santos is an active member of the Colorado and Douglas/Elbert Bar Associations. She is married and the mother of two children who attend Douglas County Schools.
