Laurie A. Hurst

Before joining Highlands Ranch Law Center P.C., Ms. Hurst had a reputation as a tough but fair prosecutor for the Douglas County District Attorney’s office.  She brought this strength with her to our firm, where she tirelessly helps clients through the painful process of divorce proceedings.  Her dedicated work ethic makes her an ideal family law attorney.

Ms. Hurst is recognized by many organizations for the high quality work she continually produces.  She was awarded the F. Scott and Susan Jackson Law Scholarship, the Scholastic Excellence Award for Lawyering Process, and the Psychology Department Award for Community Service, Citizenship, and Scholarship from the University of Denver.  She was also a Reese Persuasive Writing Award Finalist.

Active Community Member

Ms. Hurst believes in the importance of community involvement.  She an active member of SECOR and is involved with the Smart Choices Board, the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, and the Volunteer Southeast Community Outreach group.  Ms. Hurst has also worked with at-risk youth and assisted in crises intervention.
